Senior Analyst - Selby Jennings

Position Summary:
The Acquisitions Associate will play a key role in sourcing, underwriting, and closing new investment opportunities in the multifamily and BTR sectors. This role requires strong analytical skills, market knowledge, and a passion for real estate investing. The Associate will report to the Director of Acquisitions and work closely with the development, asset management, and capital markets teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source new acquisition opportunities through broker relationships, off-market strategies, and industry networking
• Analyze multifamily and BTR properties using detailed financial modeling and valuation techniques
• Conduct market research, demographic analysis, and competitive property assessments
• Prepare investment memos and presentations for the investment committee
• Assist in managing the due diligence process, including coordination with legal, third-party consultants, and internal teams
• Track and monitor deal pipeline and transaction progress
• Stay up to date on trends in the multifamily and BTR markets, particularly in the Sun Belt and Southeast regions
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers, developers, owners, and other industry professionals

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field; MBA or Master's in Real Estate is a plus
• 2-4 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, investment banking, private equity, or a related role
• Strong financial modeling and underwriting skills (Excel, Argus, CoStar, etc.)
• Knowledge of multifamily and BTR asset classes, including deal structuring and value drivers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Local market knowledge of the greater Nashville area is preferred
